Brent A. Couture Attorney at Law
Brent A. Couture received his B.S. in Economics from the University of California San Diego, where he also lettered on the intercollegiate volleyball team. He began his education in the law at the University of West Los Angeles School Of Law, and then transferred to and graduated from Barry University School of Law in Orlando. He limits his law practice to plaintiff’s personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice cases.
Brent is the devoted husband of Tara and the proud father of two sons. In his spare time he enjoys volunteering to coach his boys’ basketball and soccer teams, as well as playing competitive volleyball, soccer, and basketball. He has also competed in professional beach volleyball tournaments around the country.
Brent is a member of the Brevard County Bar Association, Barry University Law School Alumni Association, the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America (APITLA), and the Florida Justice Association.
Marianne Heuberger Carter FRP
Marianne joined Couture Law P.A. in January of 2010. She brings with her over 22 years of experience in the legal field and has an extensive background in both personal injury and wrongful death, which she has focused her career on since moving to Brevard County in 1997.
Marianne previously worked for several law firms in Brevard County which all specialized primarily in personal injury and wrongful death, including eight years with Childress & Charpentier, P.A., as the legal assistant/paralegal to Hubert C. Childress, Esq., until his retirement in 2007. Marianne then went to work for Donoghue & Holland for two years as the paralegal to Gary L. Holland, Esq., up through January 2010, when she left to pursue a promising career with Couture Law P.A., which she has found extremely rewarding. Marianne has extensive experience in case management and assisting attorneys with preparing cases for trial, and is well qualified to assist in the handling of personal injury claims, both prior to and in litigation.
In addition, in March 2008 Marianne was one of the first paralegals in Florida to become registered with the Florida Bar as a Florida Registered Paralegal. She has also written several articles which were published in 2009 in the Paralegals Section of the Florida Justice Association Journal, a bi-monthly periodical for Florida trial attorneys.

In addition to being dedicated to her work as a paralegal, Marianne is a volunteer, court-appointed Guardian ad Litem, giving her time to advocate for children of Brevard County who have been removed from their homes because of alleged abuse, abandonment, or neglect. She is also a former Brownie troop leader with the Girl Scouts of America.
Marianne is married to Doug, the Brevard County Assistant Fire Marshal, and together they have three daughters. During her personal time, Marianne loves cooking, photography, traveling, art, hiking, canyoneering, and playing board games with her family.
Randa J. Maali-Itani Attorney at Law
Randa J. Maali-Itani received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with Honors in the Major from Rollins College and her Juris Doctorate from Barry University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and second in her class overall.
After her first year of law school, Randa was invited to become a member of the Barry Law Review based on her academic performance, and later served as its Executive Editor. She was also selected as a member of the Moot Court Honors Board, where she competed in the American Bar Association and New York City Bar National Moot Court Competitions. In 2007, her team took home second place best brief honors, and placed 5th in oral arguments at the regional round of New York City Bar Moot Court Competition in Atlanta.
Prior to joining Couture Law P.A., Randa worked first as in-house counsel for an Orlando based corporation and then for a Orlando-based law firm where she exclusively handled cases in the firm’s Immigration and Civil/Business divisions.
